Line Censor – Kiatanan Iamchan, Untitled, Year Unknown
Acrylic on canvas
LOT 42

This early painting of Line Censor was shown in his solo exhibition titled “Alright I Shall Greed” in 2008, which is a solo exhibition by the artist himself while he still uses his name Kiatanan Iamchan before changing to Line Censor. This work is inspired by Thai murals with elements of the story in colorful images, also known as “Tua Kak”. Line Censor drew a cute cartoon version of Tua Kak all over the piece, making the audiences feel the mixture of fun and chaos in this work.

Line Censor – Kiatanan Iamchan, Smoked, 2013
Acrylic on canvas
LOT 44

Line Censor’s Smoked is a must-see piece, as it’s the original of an NFT piece that was auctioned for a whopping 1.2 million baht at the Exceptional Thai Art auction in late 2021. Even in black and white tone the painting still enhances details of the chaos in the world that combines pop culture and well-known symbols into this piece.

Line Censor_Scramble

The last piece of Line Censor in this show, The Iconic Treasure, is Scramble. It’s featured in the Narrative of Giant: follow the demon’s soul exhibition. It depicts the ripples of the frantic sea interfering with the delightful details, and is considered a picture of The Raft of Medusa in Line Censor version.
